This book just couldn't do it for me. The hero was such a jack a**. The story just didn't capture me, and the hero was kind of obnoxious. I honestly didn't even get through three chapters without reading the end and tossing it to the side. It just didn't hold my attention.

On the cover is this - "A brand-new story with a bigger, ornerier--and sexier--Jones Gang than ever! Billy Jones must prove that he can be a good father to his son, Jesse. Jesse's Aunt Prudence is the one Billy has to impress. Billy thinks the job will be easy! Uncle Oggie is up to his old tricks again. It was a humorous and fun read. I'm waiting for more of The Jones Gang!
This book, for me, does so many well worn tropes well and at the same time.

We have prim, uptight aunt caring for her wild child sister's baby in a small mountain town who has to do the right thing and tell the bad boy singer song writer father the news of his daddyhood.

The are oil and water, pretty and plain, starch and cotton and it is the best! This book is funny and aching and sweet and harsh. Everyone grows. Everyone has a good time with the kooky town and realitves.

I like this series but even if I didn't I would still love this book.
